COVID 19

We are monitoring the ongoing situation in line with Government and local authority advice, please refer to Public Health England and NHS guidelines. Our standard terms and conditions apply during this time. If we are unable to deliver face-to-face classes due to lockdown protocols introduced by the government or local authority, we will continue classes live over Zoom. Please refer to our separate Covid 19 guidelines for up-do-date guidance. Should you decide not to attend classes online then no refund will be given.

COURSE AMMENDMENTS

If we need to amend your class time or venue where your class is held, your teacher will endeavour to provide you with a minimum of 7 days notice. Where the start time is altered by less than 30 mins and/or the venue is located within a 1-mile radius of original planned venue, no refunds will be offered.

 

We reserve the right to cancel/change the venue of a class or course if there is a significant reduction in attendance or where the minimum enrolment total is not achieved or due to changes beyond our control. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible in this scenario.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

In the event of you being unable to attend part or the entire course after booking, we are under no obligation to refund your money. The only exception to this is a baby being born pre-term during an antenatal course, the balance of your missed term will be offered as a credit towards baby classes with the same teacher, if classes are running.

VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Please do not photograph or video any other class participant or your teacher. Please do not share any images featuring other class participants or your teacher via social media or any internet platform/site without written consent from every party included. Please feel free to take photographs of yourself and your own baby. We cannot be held liable for the actions of third parties and therefore exclude, to the fullest extent possible by law, any liability arising from a breach of this section headed ‘Video and Photography’ by any party.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please refer to separate Covid-19 guidelines at this time.

Whilst you are waiting for your class to start, please keep noise to a minimum so all classes can take place in a calm atmosphere. Do not enter the studio whilst the current class is taking place; please wait to be invited in by your teacher. Please respect other participants in your class by ensuring all personal belongings are stored neatly at the side of the room and are not a trip hazard. Please ensure any mobile phones are on silent.

It is vital that you inform your teacher of any medical conditions that you have that might affect your time in class (for you or for your baby). All information is treated sensitively and in confidence.

We ask all class participants to not attend a class if they, or their baby, are suffering from:

 

  • Any Covid-19 symptoms, including but not limited to (please check NHS direct for the latest information on COVID-19 symptoms to ensure you are following the most up-to-date guidance): â€‹

    • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

    • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

    • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

  • Fever

  • Diarrhoea or vomiting in the previous 48 hours

  • Symptoms of a possible contagious illness such as: Chicken Pox, Measles, Norovirus

We cannot offer a refund for a class missed due to illness. However, if you let your teacher know at least 24 hours in advance, we may be able to offer a credit for a catch up class or arrange a catch up. Please note we can only issue one credit per term and this is strictly subject to availability and your teacher’s discretion.

It is your responsibility and vital to contact your teacher and keep them up to date with any conditions or complications you may have. If you are unwell and unsure if you should attend a class, you must inform your teacher BEFORE you come to class so that they can assess any risks to the other class participants and advise if you should attend or not.

VALUABLES AND JEWELLERY

All property brought to classes is left at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions before, during or after class.

WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICE

We may at our own discretion refuse a client entry onto its courses.

CANCELLED SESSIONS

We will endeavor to ensure your scheduled class always runs. However, in the unlikely event that unforeseen circumstances prevent this we will contact you asap, either by phone, text or email. Please ensure you always check your phone for updates prior to leaving for class. It is your responsibility to ensure your teacher has the most up-to-date contact details, this is so we can ensure we are able to contact you in the event of a class being cancelled.

 

If your class is running and you decide not to attend for any reason, no refund will be given.

 

If in bad weather, we have deemed the weather still fit to travel and have gone ahead with the scheduled class but you personally have decided not to attend, then no refund will be given.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

In the absence of any proven negligence, lack of due diligence or breach of duty by the teacher, the participation of you, your partner, your family, your baby or your child or those in whose care you have placed your baby/child for the purpose of attending class, is done so entirely at your and their own risk.

 

We cannot be held liable for the actions of third parties or for the actions of our teachers and therefore exclude, to the fullest extent possible by law, any liability arising from a breach of this section headed ‘Video and Photography’ by any party.

REPORTING COMPLAINTS TO YOUR TEACHER

Charlotte Wright, the founder and teacher at Birth and Baby Club, takes great pride in delivering quality courses to a high standard and ensuring your overall experience of our courses is a very happy one. Any queries, concerns or complaints should be directed to Birth and Baby Club, we are always happy to discuss them. We would appreciate the opportunity to correct any wrongdoing or clarify any misunderstanding and ensure you have a positive experience.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

Birth and Baby Club reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of services will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. If there are any changes to our privacy policy, we will announce these changes via email.
